These verses from Colossians are the theme of my next novel, the prequel to The Book of Told - God willing: “We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit
gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance
and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom
of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
There is so much in those verses. My heart tightens in longing each time I remember them. They are beautiful
and what our heart should be crying for and striving to comprehend! If the mountainous meanings became clear, even in glimpsed insights, our lives would be bound by tight mission and fierce purpose and the richest of all loves!
It would be such a joy and ungraspable privilege to write of Jesus glory! Imagine Habit opening his eyes to a new form of life, one where he cannot fully grasp his author nor the depths of his mistake. Consider Habit confronted by the great walls
of Told's four-lettered signature, which from his position Told could not grasp until he climbed the hill (his mountain-top experience). What would it look like for him to get peeks at the story he has become an integral part of? To gain insights even deeper
than than Brew comprehended, until Habit walked in the bliss and power of his knowledge? Imagine what the people around him would see and he underlying bitterness and fight Luman would have to contend with as he saw that Told was still trying to be in
control of the story.
I know exactly how the seed came to be half-way up the hillside behind Told's name!
I want the theme to be God’s glory! I want to show others some of the wonders he has shown his people,
to present the most glorious God who demands our eternal awe because that is just who he is – the most awesome being that he is so far beyond our imagination that he had to gift his Spirit to enlighten us with the insight of him.
will rise from the depths of his actions, to walk tall in the concept of his forgiveness, salvation, reformation, rewording and invitation to eternity with the greatest author of all time!! God’s glory will shine so bright that every knee will bow and
every tongue proclaim his majesty – can you imagine that? Can you truly imagine how unquestionable and incomparable his presence will have to be for EVERYONE to bow in body and heart? Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth will speak, and Jesus is
going straight to the heart’s understanding in every citizen on this earth!!! This is mind-blowing stuff!
We are here for one purpose… that by worshiping him, we will shine his reflection
so others will long to worship him also. I want the kind of god I am evermore getting to know – he is all good. He is to die for, and my growing love for him makes me take each day as a privilege and pleasure, knowing I am one day closer to his eternal
and unhindered presence. It is just perfect that eternity means just that or I would have something to be unsatisfied about, but there is nothing. There is only pure satisfaction in knowing him – the kind that swells your heart to want to burst with
song, or inspire one to write! I’ll edit this tomorrow – I need to snuggle under his smile tonight.
