I was reminded last night that God suffered from anxiety at night-time too. I was looking back on my last unimaginable year and realized how far I had come. I remembered the times I was curled up with desperation pleading God to intervene in my mind.
He did. Thank Him so much, He did!!!
I remembered Jesus the night of His death. He was filled with anxiety too. Different types and for different reasons, but the similarity is that Jesus ultimately faced a trial that He felt He would pass if He could,
but begged His father to not let Him give up. Jesus begged God to sustain Him in the face of fear. He was so doubled up with what He knew He was about to face that He sweated profusely.
He has experienced our worst fears. He walked through them that
night and remained true to Himself when everyone accused Him. What a role model. Good Friday is a great friday. It is a solemn reminder of His sacrifice. Then we get to party on Sunday as He defeated His enemies and rose!!!!!!!
