I found a saying just now that shook me. “Writing is a profession for introverts who want to tell you a story but don’t want to make eye contact while telling it.”
That is me.
But why is that? What is it that
keeps me from speaking my story straight to the faces of my hearers?
Why did God create introverts? Possibly so we do not frighten off every listener with our passion. He causes us to place time and effort into our presentation. Is it because we feel
our story so heavily that we might scare people with the intensity of our feelings if we try to verbalize it? Perhaps it is so deep inside us that we need time to formulate the telling.
Why did God design the world in the form of a great story –
Perhaps God knew we could not handle hearing his story if we had to maintain eye contact with Him. We would have been too frightened, intimidated, darn-right petrified to take the message in. He had to step back for our safety and
compose an effective piece of writing for us to experience, so that we could comprehend the story’s layers when we were individually ready.
He cannot be only an introvert, surely… imagine him as an extrovert!!! Now that is something to
think about tonight!
I am within 10 days of handing in the final manuscript to Westbow for self publishing. I have to say I am impressed with the editing, and the ragged-right choice. It seems to suit and soften the story, and will aid in ease of reading.
God has written His world story using so many styles. He has included something for everyone. His structure is based on lunar cycles as outlined in Genesis and years of change. His formatting is beyond description. His timings are perfect,
and as each chapter closes we are left with a tantalizing pull into the next one.
I live for His ending! I know it will be the best ever worded!!! Praise to the Master-writer.
