When the power is out.
I can’t help myself, can I? With an analogy like this right before my eyes, how can I not write on it?
So the electricity was out due to a storm, as mentioned in my previous post. I was sitting in the dark
writing on the laptop until my batteries grew low.
There was no current of unseen force in that room, or the entire house.
That is sadly what it is like without refocusing on God in those moments of tiredness. The power goes out. The thread of
electricity that sparks life and purposefulness into an object is absent. Without God in me, I become a laptop with no batteries. Useless. Only good for stacking things on or getting frustrated with.
Please God, don’t let me write without
charged batteries. I give you permission to overwrite my actions and stop me in any way you wish, because you are capable of making us everything You want for Your name to be made great. Give me even MORE faith. Make it pour out of me, so I do not discredit
Your incredible name. Burn, alter, shave, sandpaper, carve, hammer, saw, tease, cajole, twist, squeeze… do it all in me until You have created the most effective, power-driven ‘tool’ that is equipped to do any job for You.
power back on!!!
